A $4 'weapon' suitable for warfare

From OneNewsNow

camouflage bibleAn evangelist from Louisiana is trying to get Bibles to 17,000
U.S. troops who have recently been deployed to Afghanistan.

In July 2003, Tim Todd -- president of Revival Fires International -- was asked to help get Bibles to troops fighting in the war on terror. Since then, more than 120,000 Bibles have been sent to U.S. troops overseas through Todd's ministry.

Now the evangelist wants to get Bibles into the hands of all 17,000 troops who are being sent to Afghanistan.

Tim Todd (Revival Fires International)"When they're on the front lines for our country, they experience things like loneliness, separation, and fear -- and especially on foreign soil," says Todd. "Against these kinds of foes, even the most high-tech weapons offer little protection. But the weapon of the Word of God leaves our soldiers fully armed."

Each Bible costs $4 -- a small price to pay, says the evangelist, to get the Word of the Lord into the hands of U.S. troops.
